| 311531 | 2005-01-07 01:43:00 | On lemon (XP) we have 3 user accounts, beetle (full administrator) and 2 childrens limited accounts. Ok clear as mud here, but for the children playing certain games in their user ID account they get to the end of a game and it stalls, they do not have permission to save or add names to game statistics and restart a new game. is there an option that i can change so they can save there game names and not alter the computer settings other wise? not sure what its called but something along the lines of Write ability? Metla whats it called? :badpc: what or where do i need to or can i change these settings? b |

You're looking to change the permissions on the folder so that any user can write to it. It's reasonable intuitive to change once you're in there. It's probably C:\Program Files\Something EDIT: That covers most of it: www.microsoft.com This has screenshots - just ignore the first section on "Sharing" the folders: www.microsoft.com |
