311521 2005-01-08 00:41:00 Spyware detectors usually work ok with each other and anti-virus software generally doesn't .
Thanks for that info, Twelvevolts . For some reason I kept associating it with Viruses as well .

I'll stick with Nod32 - in my view it's fairly comfortably the best anti-virus software .
I'm glad you've found a program that suits your setup best . Will be interesting to see a year ahead - wonder what people will have then .

Have had this computer for less than one year, and the list of programs I've installed and kept, and the list I've installed and got shot of is getting out of hand . God only knows what rubbish has been left behind in all the uninstallments .
But I have learned so much more about the computer system in having done this .

Will be doing that soon, plus reformatting. Will be ringing Toshiba support and getting them to talk me through while using the CD-Rom recovery disk to return everything back to where I was when I first bought my notebook. Lost the option to turn the touchpad on and off. It stays on now and if I touch it while I'm typing the cursor shoots off to another part of the page. Bit of a pain. Mind you it was a blessing in a way the day my system went bellyup and because the mouse wouldn't work, was able to use the touchpad instead.
Thanks for your help.
