| 311658 | 2005-01-22 08:22:00 | Thanks Chill I've done that and got:- [cjf@localhost cjf]$ Locate Real bash: Locate: command not found [cjf@localhost cjf]$ su Password: [root@localhost cjf]# locate Real /usr/lib/RealPlayer8 /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/Codecs /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/Codecs/rncolor.so.6.0 /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/Codecs/14_4.so.6.0 /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/Codecs/28_8.so.6.0 Hereafter there follows another 30 or 40 files, but how do I get RealPlayer to be an icon on the desktop to open when I want it. Chill, I'm wasting your time as I'm about to have installed Core 3(thanks to Sam-I-Am) ,but it'd be nice to know where I'm going wrong .Sarum |

| 311659 | 2005-01-22 10:02:00 | I dont know if its installed...... Firstly, its all case SenSItIvE so 'Locate' gives you command not found but 'locate' works. Try: locate real It should be in /usr/bin or something Right-click on the desktop and make a shortcut, or I prefer to add things to kmenu (Back in the days of KDE). Chill. |
