311201 2005-01-06 12:06:00 That was the temp it shut down at,I have no idea what it would have peaked at if the bios didn't have this feature,But then i would say it wouldn't have run after a real meltdown.

having said that,I am pretty surprised the comp still ran,and I now know that a Duron 1200 can be repeatedly cooked to 110 degrees and still work,and that it takes 3-to-6 minutes to reach that temp.....

Because the cpu temp can go higher, I have good cooling, I have another cpu I can use, I'm not overclocking, and I can afford another cpu if I have to.
Not much point in worrying.
