I don't know of how many printer machines are out there that can do this ability. But information and recommendations are welcome.

311712 2005-01-07 09:37:00 i don't know of any that print directly onto cd/dvd but a cheaper way is to get the sticky labels and software then print labels on almost any printer. tweak'e (69)
311713 2005-01-07 09:45:00 Sticky labels are pointed at by many for the high failure rate of dvd's with....um....sticky labels.

The printer option is far better.

The only one i have used is the Epson R10 (at least i think thats what it is,) it got glowing reviews.

I found when using the inbuilt XP printing wizard that everything in shadow came out pitch black, Epson said to use their software, which fixed the issue but was crap to use.

Also found that when photo's were printed at a4 size they came out fuzzy,The printer it replaced cost half as much and done a better job...

Yeah you are right about the sticky labels , it's that I could do with a new printer and I have these flash new dvd blanks that you can print on.

I pretty sure If seen them in a magazine some where.

311715 2005-01-07 10:03:00 Check out the latest Canon Pixma printers - the more expensive ones print right on printable cds or dvds. I just bought the IP4000R model, wireless, network, usb, prints borderless.... quarry (252)
311716 2005-01-07 10:33:00 Printer Epson Stylus R210 is really excellent and if you have a photo galley or a selection of Clipart with the program which privides text and backgrounds you have an arsonal to use and create.....The only minus is it uses ink fairly fast but it is an top of the line printer....for C D's & :badpc: D V D,,, olldaddy78 (6546)
