311535 2005-01-07 01:53:00 I have an HP PSC 23100 all-on-one printer; Win98SE. My problem is that when I want to use the scanner, this is the error message I get:

"Could not open the TWAIN source. Make sure there is a valid source for your scanner found in the TWAIN directory found in the Windows directory."

It doesn't make any difference whether I try to use the scanner through my very old Photoshop 3 or through the HP Director, I still get the same message. I have searched the HP site without any joy and also Google. Is there a simple solution to this problem?

311536 2005-01-07 02:02:00 I take it u installed the drivers for the scanner?? Speedy Gonzales (78)
311537 2005-01-07 03:19:00 Thanks - yes driver installed. The scanner worked intermittently previously, but since Jetstream installed it's failed to wake up. Nothing else has been altered.
Am about to uninstall/reinstall HP (again)...

Double click on each and go to power management and untick the allow the computer to turn this device off to save power, option off .

See if that works .
