| 311354 | 2005-01-06 13:32:00 | I have some program(s) operating on my win xp pc that keep trying to connect me to the web and various sites via IE (I use OPera) e.g. "ads1.revenue.net". I have tried to get rid of spyware etc with Adaware but this just keeps happening. What can I do? How can I tell what program is at work here? What is msams.exe? qsosrv.exe? | bpt2 (6653) | ||

| 311356 | 2005-01-06 15:50:00 | Other sites I'm prompted to connect to are fkn0wn3d.sytes.net and test0r.server.us. What is the program kalvslj32? this thing has a hand full of hijackers and add ware. 1 get stinger vil.nai.com (took me several attempts to connect for some reason) 2 update your A/virus or get AVG 7 free.grisoft.com 3 get this www.zonelabs.com or something simular that will prevent any outgoing programs acessing the net with out authority from you. Only install the standard version turn off xp firewall before running this or they will fight. 4 get this www.mozilla.org or some other brouser that runs as an app instead of part of the os. Useing this, and making it your default brouser whilst you sort many of your current problems, will help to reduce the activity of nasties that need IE to function. 5 get this www.emsisoft.com or something simular. That collection should slow them down and keep you busy. I would use a2 and stinger early in the piece. a2 requires @mail acttioning. Then www.spychecker.com requires a little skill for later use. Other advice will come when everyone wakes up. If you put the names of the programs you have listed/questioned into google, you will not like the results at all. D. |
