| 311036 | 2005-01-05 23:14:00 | Could someone please tell me the purpose of the directory c:/Documents and Settings/[username]/Local Settings/Temp ...? (using Win XP Home). This appears to hold copies of files which I thought I had deleted some ago. What prompts these copies to be stored in this directory, and is it safe to delete the contents ...? Thanks |

| 311037 | 2005-01-06 03:58:00 | As our computers work to process our requests for information, etc, they create temporary files (.tmp). These .tmp files are then stored in the temp file folders They are usually safe to delete. Use a third party cleaner like this one Easy Cleaner shelbina-nfo.com (shelbina-nfo.com) |
