312389 2005-01-11 03:11:00 It would seem that you're not really taking in any of the advice given to you. In the end it's your $$ and your choice. You can't seem to make up your mind.

So for the sake of making a long thread short here are your options.

1) buy the more expensive 6600GT... it doesn't have the hardware flaw the 6800GT has and runs really well.

2) buy a X600 or X800 based card... both variations offer good performance for a decent price

3) buy a 9800 Pro... good performance and again light on your budget.

4) FORGET about the 9600XT in any shape or form and make a choice from 1,2 or 3 above.

Now if your next question is going to be which manufacturer you should choose? The answer would be.... use GOOGLE and do more research until you find what you're looking for.

Once you have narrowed it down to 3 specific products ie manufacturer name and chipset used, post back and then we can go further with more advice.

The more info you give us the easier it is for us to help you.

cheers
