2005-01-10 09:37:00 | 1 . 6600gt wastes X600 and X700!! 2 . Nvidia owns the midrange market!! 3 . Ati will bring out X800 se to compete against the 6600gt and lower price to get in the game again, if they dont they loose out on too much money in the middlerange market period . :D

2005-01-10 09:40:00 | ATI would be better off giving repackaging the 9800xt as a midrange card, The 9800pro and XT can beat out the 6600gt when AA and AF are enabled...so with a little extra grunt would kill it right across the board. | Desperado (6407) | |

2005-01-10 10:40:00 | yes google , now my research 6600GT hipset : NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT Core Clock : 500 MHz Memory Clock : 900 MHz Memory Type : 128 MB GDDR3 Memory Interface : 128 bit RAMDAC : 400 MHz Bus Type: AGP 8X Driver Support : WindowsXP, Windows2000, DVI HDTV ( Resolution up to 1920 X 1080i ) $410 9800 PRO 128MEGS Model Name GECUBE RADEON® 9800 PRO 128MB ASIC RADEON® 9800 Core Frequency 378MHz Memory Size 128MB Memory Type 4*32 DDR Memory Bus 256bit Interface AGP D-Sub Yes TV-Out S-out DVI Yes Video-In N/A Cooling Fansink Ok The 6600GT is 128bit compared to 256bit on the gecube , yet the speeds of both core and memory are much higher , plus it looks cool , so by my research the 6600Gt is better Am i right , or is 256bit so good ?

2005-01-10 10:44:00 | for the same price as a decent 9800pro i can get a 6600gt 128meg , which is better SPARKLE SP-AG43GDH NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT 128MB DDR3 AGP 8X HDTV The 6600gt is better in the regard that it is a bit more powerful and based on newer tech,However due to it using 128 bit memory it takes a bigger performance hit when image enhancing effects such as Anti-ailising and ansitropic filtering are enabled . The 9800pro maybe the better choice when used on an LCD,seeing as the resolution will be capped you would want to enable AA and AF . All depends on how you like your games set up,what your running them on etc etc . Personally i purchased the 6600gt .

2005-01-10 11:08:00 | 1 . According to my research looking cool doesn't make something perform better . Its to suck noobs in to buy it . Look at all the cool lights in that case as an example ie all riced up,all show . 2 . Like I said your money, your choice . :2cents: 3 . I got a 6800 16 pipe gpu baby! :D 4 . Do some research on if 128/256 makes a difference . (there are other fourms to look at) . 5 . READ #2 AGAIN!! :annoyed:

2005-01-10 23:26:00 | The 6800 isn't that much too get excited about, it has a known HARDWARE bug that can't be fixed. Despite it's performance it is a flawed product. cheers chiefnz
