| 312208 | 2005-01-09 05:53:00 | PB IMEDIA 20X 'or something Intel 845GVSR Intel Celeron 2.66GHz 256MB ddr266 (PC2700) 4 USB 2.0 OS Windows XP home Windows Recovery Console i was playing Rise of nations when the game crashed, direct x poped an AGP Error, MEmory leaked everywhere, and i restarted, only it wouldn't load, and in safe mode it stoped loading at a graphics driver, and the recovery console gave an errormsg(UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME STOP...etc) Do you have a UDMA enabled hard drive? If so, are you using a 80-wire cable, as opposed to a 40 wire cable (my cousin's computer had the same issue, ran fine for months on the wrong cable, and then suddenly had the unmountable_boot_volume error. Replacing the cable fixed the problem). More info here: support.microsoft.com |

| 312209 | 2005-01-09 08:24:00 | This happened to me after my stupid seagate piece of **** clunked and corrupted my boot record. Fixed it by going into recovery console and using FIXMBR and FIXBOOT. also ran CHKDSK /F just to make sure. Obviously if you don't have a XP CD, then borrowing one is probably a good idea. |
