312104 2005-01-08 11:43:00 I am using Linux (FC3) and I want to copy my firefox bookmarks to windows on shutdown.
Is there a folder or file in which I can execute a shell script at shutdown (just before all the services are halted)?

As firefox is a true app
(As opposed to IE which is an intergrated security dissaster)

is it no possible to have the bookmarks Shared/Available in either O/S

Thinks we for the first time reading thread????????

How would we do either????????

If you follow this guide here (www.ces.clemson.edu), you should be able to have the one set of bookmarks shared between the two OS's. If you have your Windows partition as NTFS , this will be a bit harder as you will need to have NTFS writing support.

/etc/rc.d/local.stop

Basically it runs that script on shutdown.

Doesnt symlinking work with the bookmarks?

312108 2005-01-08 22:01:00 Cheers guys. I'll look at this local.stop file Chill, but I must admit the symlink idea has merit.
Thanks Jen - That site looks useful.
