| 312007 | 2005-01-08 08:29:00 | Hi People, A have installed Mandrake 9 in a partition with win98se in another. I wish to uninstall linux (it can't use my winmodem ) to free up my meagre HD space for windows... Tried the Fdisk route but don't seem to be able to...apparently due to the differant file system formated for linux.... I don't mind reinstalling windows on that drive...so how can I restore the drive to all usable by windows ? thanks for any help ! cheers Pete |

To restore the MBR to get rid of the bootloader, you then should run from a Windows boot floppy, fdisk /mbr. Make sure you delete the correct partitions and have anything valuable on the Win98 backed up just in case ... |
