311953 2005-01-08 03:37:00 Hi, I created a 3D heading for my first website but don't know how to get rid of the white which sits behind the Heading text. It looks bad when my background color is Dark Blue. Any help on this. I have a program called Gimp.Would that be able to do the job.thanks Christopher (365)
311954 2005-01-08 03:54:00 What format is the image in? If it's a gif, when you created it did you set transparent background?

Try make it again, but this time set the background colour the exact same colour as the webpage background, using hex # for setting the colour.

What programme did you use to make it? I'm sure Gimp can do it, but can't advise how coz I never used it.

You'll have to make the background of the heading .jpg/gif the same colour as your page background
Post a link for us to look at

311957 2005-01-08 10:04:00 if its a gif format make the background transparent

The problem with that is that if the text has a shadow it will appear as an off-colour helo.

311959 2005-01-08 21:04:00 If you want to show a screenshot or another image, then you can upload that image to here (sal.neoburn.net), (image hosting site run by a PF1 member), and then post the URL for it in the thread. Make sure you read the information (sal.neoburn.net) section first. :) Jen (38)
