Has any one removed any virus with it? Does it catch them all? Thanks in advise :) |

| 312781 | 2005-01-10 09:50:00 | there heaps written on this forum about AVG 7. lots of people have installed it. it seems to work ok. the only real problem seems to be the mail scanning (pop3 exspecially with outlook) which dosn't always work. tho i havn't seen that problem myself yet. | tweak'e (69) | ||
| 312782 | 2005-01-10 10:04:00 | I've had no real problems AVG 7 but the email scanner does need tweaking ( I dont use outlook either) all I did to resolve my problem was to disable outgoing email scanning. The thing to remember about virus checkers is, none are perfect, there will always be somthing that slips past. Common sense has saved my virus checker a lot work, my email client allows me to veiw queued emails on the server before downloading them to my machine and a firewall stops any port scanning beasties. |

| 312787 | 2005-01-12 01:05:00 | Any other comments on AVG 7.0? Well basically comments aside, you either HAVE to upgrade to it, or find another product as updates for v 6 were ceased on 31/12/04 so your virus protection isn't worth squat at the moment. |
