312525 2005-01-14 00:27:00 Sounds fixable to me....

Just find the piece of code that sends the e-mails, and get rid of the extra Forums.

312527 2005-01-14 01:53:00 How about "PC World Agora Forums", "PC World Public Square Forums", or "PC World Meeting Place Forums"? :p agent (30)
312528 2005-01-14 07:17:00 I'm sure Mary wouldn't mind paying you to fix it up... IF you can do so successfully ;) ~sy~ (95)
312529 2005-01-14 09:09:00 As of yesterday my notification problem has vanished. Notifications come through within minutes, and as an added bonus I don't have to keep entering my logon every second time I come here. That now sticks, whereas it used to be very erratic.

No changes have been made to my computer, so it must be the IDG gnomes at work again.

Cheers

312530 2005-01-16 03:30:00 its a stab in the dark, but we have to try everything.

we haven't managed to get any further with this - having only 2 web staff incl myself doesn't help matters!

I am getting notifications now, for the first time! Thanks.

312531 2005-01-17 21:13:00 Um, I hate to be a Jonah, but have email notifications been turned off again? I haven't received one since yesterday, and there have been quite a few responses to threads to which I am subscribed...

I have checked my paradise email spam folder and they ain't there.

I don't know why, but for some reason I, too, for the past few days, have being slightly experiencing the problem again -although not to the extent as before.

312533 2005-01-17 21:38:00 LOL, just to make a liar of me, I received an email notification of sy's post. John H (8)
312534 2005-01-17 21:48:00 ... there have been quite a few responses to threads to which I am subscribed...Don't forget John, that unlike the old Jive forum, this forum will not notify you of every new post made in a subscribed thread. You tend to just get only one or two unless you revisit (login) the forum again. :)

Quoted from the notification email:
There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again..
