| 312900 | 2005-01-11 05:19:00 | Hi i recently got an old computer, it is a AMD K6-2 now i wanted to get it up and running. i added ram and a cd rom drive. but strangely now when i instert a cd the pc just turns off. it does it with what ever cd i put in. now it isnt the drive because i have tried two differnt drives. the pc has not had a cd drive in before and is running win 98. anyone know why it is doing this |

| 312902 | 2005-01-11 06:05:00 | I would also suspect that the power supply is just not rated for the extra load? Switching off is more that just software usually, which causes a reboot. |
