2005-01-14 12:53:00 | try using the USB method instead of the Ethernet one, if you are using ethernet. If USB works, then youre having the exact same problem as me, when i broke the limit my connection went slow and stayed slow, but only on ethernet, not USB. on USB it went fine. im still trying to work it out myself, its either the Ethernet card/adapter on the PC or the settings which govern it causing the problem. the funny thing is, it only began when i went over the limit on the 3gig plan. | Kindel (6640) | |

2005-01-15 12:23:00 | Bro... cxfiles.orcon.net.nz It's been a problem for like 3/4 days now. Basically since cap reset. Isn't really applicable for me to use a usb cable cause i'd need a 10/15 metre one... Eitherway it's not even cable problem. The modem is showing downstream at 64k which *suprisingly* is the capped net speed on 10mbit.... Another call 2 xtra???

2005-01-15 12:39:00 | Yep. Actually, it might take a few. Tip: If you get someone who knows nothing about anything (about 2 in 5 chance) ..... politely say you have to go and call again in 5 mins.

A quicker way to do it (that could take ages when you take into account the waiting for your call to be answered by a human) would be to ask for someone like the tech-support team leader or similar. Or even just ask for the person's team-leader. They are supposed to pass you on if you request it. Mike. |

2005-01-19 11:14:00 | ok err rang xtra for the second time, the dood said he'd like open close / close open my connection port and to try turning modem off and back on in 10 minutes or so . Did that and speed went back up to like 820kbps on the modems control panel adsl status . Now usage: 3 . 3gig/10 and we're back to 64kbps! WOOHOO . ***s the story with this  How many times do I have to call these tossers .

2005-01-19 20:36:00 | How many times do I have to call these tossers. Plenty :D Might be a good idea to ask to speak with the team leader and inform them that your time is precious. Compensation is required to the time lost waiting for things to load while you could be working.
