| 314143 | 2005-01-15 05:32:00 | Xtra's help-desk just confirmed for me that it "has had, & still has, problems sending/receiving email this morning" (as @ 10 40am,15Jan). They have a web site link "Current Network Status" For the past 2 hours it reports "There are currently no known problems with the Xtra Network." Could somebody with influence in that dozy-house wake the Current Status Manager up and give him/her some ACTION pills? Mine came right, now it has packed up again,am I alone? The host 'smtp.co.nz' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop3.xtra.co.nz', Server: 'smtp.co.nz', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D :xmouth: |

| 314148 | 2005-01-15 06:34:00 | Belated Thanks for the info in this thread. One very worried neighbour on Xtra was easily calmed down. I'm on ClearNet so had no idea. Sue. |

| 314149 | 2005-01-15 06:43:00 | I couldn't surf the net or recieve e-mails at all today. It was driving me nuts 'cause I thought the fault was with my PC. Ran 2 anti-virus programs, nothing, tried Ad-Aware SE, nothing. This is the first time I've had trouble with Xtra and I don't plan on changing. |

| 314150 | 2005-01-15 07:05:00 | I've only just been able to get back online since about 9 this morning. I too thought perhaps my comp had gone belly up, but the beauty of having multiple OS'es is that if they ALL can't connect, I know it's not my problem. (after making sure the modems operating ok). Pretty woeful service if you ask me. Surely Xtra must have *some* sort of backup plan for moments like these. I reserve my judgement though. |
