| 314219 | 2005-01-15 04:33:00 | I bought some new $20 TDK NP100 headphones from dse today, my other ones broke... when nothings playing i can hear signal noise and its louder than my previous cheap headphones, is there anyway to decrease the signal noise (or humming tone it makes when its on) just wondering... thanks, james |

| 314222 | 2005-01-15 05:33:00 | You could try opening the volume control mixer and muting everything but Wave/Stereo Mixer and Master Volume. Of course, that's a temporary solution and may not work - but often I notice that the CD Player input produces a lot of noise. |

| 314223 | 2005-01-15 05:44:00 | are the headphones magneticly sheilded?? my monitor goes a little fuzzy when i get a text on my mobile and it is next to the monitor so i think it could be the monitor, try turning the monitor off and listen to something using your headphones. |

| 314224 | 2005-01-15 22:49:00 | :help: Well after using my headphones for a while, i noticed surround sound and bass was an improvement over my last ones. anyway i ususally have them plugged into my speakers, they dont reach if i plug them in the back of the pc. Anyway i tried them in the back of the pc and NO SIGNAL NOISE!, so i instantly presume my speakers are causing this annoying signal noise. now that i think about it, my speakers SUCK. the power light on them is blinking on and off as if it has little power or something. and they crackle alot and often stop working and i have to turn them off and on again.... so would it be better go get a refund maybe and get headphones with longer cord, or maybe should i just get new speakers, the ones i have right now are smallish flat panel 'auriga' speakers. thanks im prepared to buy some speakers the only worry is, will the new ones be likely to cause signal noise also, or are my speakers just that crap! :-) |
