2005-01-14 07:52:00 | I just finished running Norton Anti Virus after getting the latest updates. It reported Steve Gibsons DCom Utility as a virus.Very strange or has this utility been hacked into a virus. | i-gordon (962) | |

I have a NAT router and Outpost Pro Firewall along with Spybot S&D Adaware, SpywareBlaster as well as Norton System Works. I think you missed the point here, Steve Gibsons DCom Utility is a legit program and like all of his freebies is a excellent tool. I think there may be a few red faces at Nortons if this is a case of a good program being labeled a virus. Gibson Research. www.grc.com |

2005-01-14 09:30:00 | ah i see, maybe ignore until new updates arrive, but how are we meant to know if it has been hacked into a virus | Prescott (11) | |
2005-01-14 20:15:00 | I am suprised, after all the posts here, that there is still anyone out there paying good money for an antivirus program which has been blamed for so many missed virus's, when there are so many free AV programs of better quality available.:@@: | theother1 (3573) | |
2005-01-14 20:48:00 | I fail to see why Symantec AV would throw this into their AV sigs? Perhaps some hidden financial backer had something to say about it...... | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
