We knew he drunk a lot, and we knew he wasn't super well off. Got over there and realized why. A bottle of vodka that might cost $60 over here was on the shelf at the supermarket for $15. Even with exchange rate, that's still under NZD$20!! So yeah the taxes and everything quickly add up... Anyways... I'm still happy to pay for my Export 33 ! www.youtube.com |

That is a huge tax take, but then again its only to put problem drinkers off drinking...... My only "problem" is being able to buy a decent bottle of scotch when I want to. |

| 1363356 | 2013-12-23 04:57:00 | Just tipped 14 bottles of DB Export down the sink today. Been in the garage for 14 months since my daughter was here when I was ill. Gone flat, smelled strange and it is recycle day tomorrow. I have the odd Amstel light, maybe half a dozen in 6 months, no other alcohol other than a half glass of wine on special occasions. Gave grog up about 10 years ago. Can't say l really miss it. Just a Lemon, Lime and Bitters man :) Ken |

I didn't give up, just thought I'd get to drinking it later....it's been 7 years since I drank anything alcoholic.......husband lost patience and finished off the cider I was keeping ages ago..... |
