| 1363115 | 2013-12-20 20:10:00 | Thats about right. How it works is there is a standard fee all agents charge ( this varies from company to company) and then approx 4% of the sales price +gst. May have been 2 hours at the actual house, but what you dont see is all the work thats done in the background / Office. This is a quote from SWMBO who works for a real estate company. ( PS: She is NOT an agent) How long does it take you to earn 18k. Sorry Wai, but I see it as a rip off. Just sold mine via Trade Me, cost me 3k, they would have charged me 25k. |

| 1363116 | 2013-12-20 20:22:00 | Cars are like household furniture, they are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them Pay to make sure the Caldina you are interested in does not have a CVT as well(see some models have them) The Nissan CVT's(Extroid) are getting better as they are now available for the Pathfinder with 750kg Unbraked,2700 Braked but may be out of yours and mine price bracket I have had the Primera for years and have been very happy with CVT, just that towing the length of the south Island could prove a problem. All I want is a station wagon. The Caldina is a 4 speed auto. |

( she should know shes been in the business for over 20 years) The place down the road from us was on a private sale for close to two years, on Trade me as well, in the end they got a local real estate in and it sold in just over a month. Hope you have sorted all the legal items you are required to do when selling a house. Also if theres anything comeback to bite you, like something you may not have disclosed, which legally you have to, then that can cost you BIG $$$$, Classic example was one of my customers, just brought a house, the previous owners had hidden some really bad stains and other damage under mats, it was found afterwards, the realestate company didn't disclose it - now its costing them some big $$ to fix it, because the new owners said they would have not paid what they did if they knew about it. While some agents do make some good money, many people who have no idea what actually goes on always think its a rip off. Sorry but selling your own house once does NOT expose you to all the pitfalls that happen all the time, making you think you know it all. |

I was the second highest bidder and after the auction winner defaulted the dealer called me to ask if I wanted it at my latest bid. Looking at the prices at AutoTrader you're right, but mine is still the best deal, eg local reputable dealer, 1000 bucks lower price than the best AutoTrader price, and lower km's. |

I will come to you on computer matter, but I assure you I wont come on house sale matters. I am quite angry at your response and will say no more. |

But wainui said it's not his words but his wife's, who has been in the business for over 20 years. My father-in-law is a real estate agent and I can tell you he works very hard and long hours so deserves every cent he makes from selling a property. Remember it's not the agent that gets the money, they would only get a small portion of it, most of it is taken by the company they work for. |

| 1363124 | 2013-12-20 21:55:00 | And now you are an expert, were the words. I have no interest where the money goes and the fact is they are over paid. It has been said that they get more than the builder, the architect and the rest involved in building a house. |
