314867 2005-01-16 22:59:00 Hi there!
Any experience with tall phone calls using PC with dial up modem connection? If yes, how to get it.
I have 150 plan with Clear.net provider.
Thanks for info in advance

314868 2005-01-17 00:35:00 Try Skype. http://www.skype.

Its free and its meant to let u make free calls anywhere.

Altho I think they have to have Skype as well. And be on the net.

There's also Skypeout which does calls, to other people without pcs but u
have to pay for it.

314869 2005-01-17 00:45:00 I'll second Skype. I've been using it for months and nothing beats it (especially for free). It works well on dialup - I was stuck on 56k before my upgrade to broadband, and it was fine except when conference calling for 3+ people, where you can lag quite a bit.

Give it a go, you've got nothing to lose!

One of the best freeware apps available
Free calls anywhere
Could never get webcam & audio working together on Messenger successfully
So for months now I use Messenger for webcam & skype for the audio "brilliant"
Skype is also supposed to be bringing webcam later on

314873 2005-01-17 01:26:00 My opinion is, having used them both, that FireFly is better than Skype and not as hungry on computer resources, it is free to call other Firefly users, get it from here:
