| 314928 | 2005-01-17 06:09:00 | I'm having to move (not at all reluctantly) to a dedicated server in the US. Go for a decent hosting solution overseas - dedicated server if you need it. Hth George We should all buy our PC parts overseas as well! Suprised to see an enterprising young Kiwi businessman advocating the use of offshore services against Kiwimade Bad Karma |

| 314932 | 2005-01-17 20:40:00 | yep thats what you should see im on orcon ubs with static ip so you are allowed to run servers it will only be on a few hours a day anyway I just do a lot of moddeling for racer (racer.nl) and I need away of hosting my files without paying a truckload of cash Im only a student after all, the upload speed is only 16kbps anyway so it is slow but I will distrubite the files via bit torrent so once people are downloading it should be fine...anyway all just one big experiment | Brad H (738) | ||

| 314934 | 2005-01-19 05:09:00 | $1 per week for 10MB space and 1GB bandwidth per month or, more likely, $14.95 per month for 100MB space and 4GB bandwidth per month at kiwiwebhost.co.nz NZ hosted with NZ based servers and plenty of tools to meet your friends needs. From what I can see, kiwiwebhost.co.nz is hosted on a US server. Maybe they have other servers that are NZ based? |

Hmmmmm......when I started using them to host my sites a couple of years ago, I asked about the location of the servers & was told they were in Hamilton. There was a reference to this on their website but I can't find it now. Maybe it's been removed? The company has recently moved head office to Wtgn, maybe they moved the servers at the same time |

Their servers are located 3 floors below their new offices in Wellington Although they say they say some older accounts are still hosted in the US Apparently all 7 of mine are run from Wgtn (suppose it doesn't make much difference really) |
