| 314911 | 2005-01-17 04:56:00 | I still use my Canon D1250UB scanner a reasonable amount, usually for scanning hand-drawn artwork although this is getting less since I got my tablet. Agreed, they are brilliant for making archives of old family photos. Now if I can just the scans of those $100 notes more authentic... |

| 314912 | 2005-01-17 06:03:00 | Use my scanner all the time, mainly for documents . Because I opened my mouth over the recent Chrissy family thing, I've just been given a 12 of those yellow Kodak boxes of slides to scan, mid 1950's to mid 70's . That's about 288 slides, + or - . I've got a Canon 3000F with a film/slide adapter, I'll let you know how it goes John, although something tells me I'll be trundling down to the local photo/copy shop to get them scanned professionaly at reasonably high res then fiddle with them myself in Photoshop Elements . |

| 314915 | 2005-01-17 22:13:00 | Arnie, a friend of mine has about 50 years worth of slides he wants to scan to digital media. Can you please let me know what model of scanner your son used - my friend has asked for my advice about slide scanners, and I only know of one (Pacific Image) which has not been much chop for either my son or me. Thanks John The EpsonStylus Photo 830U will do slides and simple to use..Ron24 |
