| 315571 | 2005-01-19 01:38:00 | As noted, Most are just a tool for spreading spyware, and none of the few i tried years ago had any effect on browsing or download speed. The products promoted by certain isp's are another kettle of fish though (and just as useless in my ever so humble opinion) |

| 315573 | 2005-01-19 01:46:00 | I believe the ones promoted by ISP's lower the quality of everything you see onscreen,Speeding up general surfing. Personally i wouldnt be to happy about paying extra to get lower quality,If you want to speed up surfing then use a webfilter such as The Proximitron so you can select what bells and whistles you want displayed. And a download manager will max out your phonelines download capabilities. |
