2005-01-17 15:48:00 | I download a song using winmx.Winmx found two sources of the same mp3 and downloaded from them. After the downloading has finished it shows two seperate files instead of 1.When I open it using winamp nothing happens.IT doesn't play the mp3. I tried deleting the file and it says Cannot Delete file : file system error (1026) I've tried emptying the recycle bin and tick on do not move files to the recycle bin.Remove files when deleted. I have 1.5gb free space left I don't know whats causing this to happen?Whats causing this problem? Running Windows 98se

2005-01-18 20:55:00 | Two things to try, restart in safemode and try to delete there. And, right click on file, choose properties, and untick any of the boxes down the bottom. If you can use DOS, then restart in DOS mode, go to the directory, and delete it there.

2005-01-18 21:28:00 | This info is for XP but should apply to other versions. -Open a Command Prompt window. -Close any open windows. -Close explorer.exe there are two ways -1--start > Turn off computer, hold down CTRL+SHIFT+ALT and press the CANCEL button. -2--CTRL+ALT+DEL and End task in the process tab -Go back to the Command Prompt window and change to the directory where the undeletable file is located in. At the command prompt type del <filename>. -Go back to Task Manager, click File, New Task and enter EXPLORER.EXE to restart the GUI shell.

2005-01-20 02:18:00 | Moveonboot didn't remove the file saying checking if the file exists etc.But I told it to remove the file anyway. After restarting the computer.File is still there. Safe mode doesn't work.Still comes up with the error The microsoft support website doesn't work cos its got nothing to do with internet explorer temp file but i did cleared the temp file anyway.Doesn't affect the file which i want to delete in the desktop I doubt I can go to dos prompt and removed the file because the name of the file is this __INCOMPLETE___Andy Lau ___ - __________2003____---(LESNIE)0e62af2c128ecdfebbdf86c09ebd52720063527600 c00000ac440000010f.mp3

2005-01-20 04:32:00 | Tried renamimg it to something a little smaller? If I recall, the underscore _ represents a protection in windows. So if you can rename it by right-click to something innocuous, you may find it behaving differently. | pheonix (36) | |
