| 315960 | 2005-01-24 03:18:00 | Type name of game and " no CD" into Google search box. Go to the link suggested and download the No CD patch/crack and run as instructed. Usually you have to substitute the game's .exe file with the cracked file. Good luck |

| 315961 | 2005-01-24 03:26:00 | Most installations don't require the use of the CD if full installation installs everything needed to run the game. It's only used to verify that you do have the CD. This really serves no purpose to be honest other than to lower the risk of piracy, but what gives them the right to make your CDROM drive inaccessible, just to hold a CD that is only used for verification. It doesn't help if you want to play your music CDs and can't due to the game taking it's place in your drive. I won't tell you exactly how to do it, I will just provide ideas. You can take a miniature image rip of the CD, mount it using daemon or virtual drive tools. Most CDs contain software protection, so you'll have to find your own way with that one. Kame. |

The rules (forums.pcworld.co.nz) state no advice will be given on how to crack CD's, so please remember that. Drive emulating for legal copies of a game so that you don't have to swap the CD's out of the drives during the game has obvious benefits, but as already mentioned, this method can be used illegally for those who don't have the original CD. It is a subject that is discussed with a bit of care as this forum will not give advice that could lead to, or be used for piracy. |

Not really, you can take the game CD out of the drive once the game has started to no ill effect. |
