316872 2005-01-22 04:08:00 hey, just an interesting question. I bought an 9600xt off trademe, it was marketed as a 9600xt 128mb, but when i installed catalyst it showed up as an 9600xt bravo, after research i found out that the bravo edition should have vivo, but it didnt come with a vivo cable, i did try and look for the rage theatre chipset on the card to no avail. Does anyone know if my 9600xt really is vivo? Tux (606)
316873 2005-01-22 04:53:00 Take a look at the back of your case at the video card. You should have the standard VGA connection, or perhaps a DVI one instead (or in addition).

If you can't see any other connectors on it, bad luck, you have no VIVO. If you're lucky you might also have video out but no video on - see if there are any emblems etched beside any other connectors.

316874 2005-01-22 05:12:00 i got analogue, dvi and svideo, the vivo models apparently use the svideo as video in and video out also Tux (606)
316875 2005-01-22 05:15:00 The plug socket will probably be similar to s-video but will need a special cable to utilise the VIVO features - you should have been given this :) HadO (796)
316876 2005-01-22 05:17:00 no i never got an vivo cable, thats the thing, my 9600xt was packaged as a 9600xt, but when i installed it, it showed up as a 9600xt bravo, the bravo model is apparently the vivo model, puzzeling to say the least Tux (606)
316877 2005-01-22 05:22:00 Strange - I wouldn't worry about it too much - the capture quality is usually not very good anyway...

Get a proper PCI/USB2 capture device if you really need it :)

316878 2005-01-22 05:23:00 yeah, it was just interesting to see if they had accidently enabled it on a lower card Tux (606)
