317326 2005-01-23 12:06:00 AVG 7 by Grisoft has a problem on some computers.
It prevents you from collecting your mail, even when you disable the mail checking.
Replace it with "Anti-Vir".

317328 2005-01-23 12:48:00 mezee you have to be joking, that is one of the crapiest scanners out.

:2cents: You should get AVG going properly best . free . by far

317329 2005-01-23 15:20:00 I had probs with AVG 7 as well.It kept showing attachments from "Trade Me"site,but couldn't scan them(with virus checker)nor could I delete(or even open them)so I ditched it and went back to AVG 6(for now anyway). B B (6979)

you need to uninstall AVG and then install AVG without the email scanner.
theres plenty of posts on this already.

317332 2005-01-24 03:35:00 I wonder why people don't do this to Microsoft when they have problems?

317334 2005-12-11 18:53:00 when it5's installed did you actually go into the control panel (avg one) and set up the email scanner to work correctly ? I've set this program up in perhaps 50, (at least) pc's and never had a problem yet..... drcspy (146)

the most comman problem is not letting the AVG email scaner through the firewall. also if you are changeing antivirus you will need to undo any previous email scanner and any settings its done in the email prog. older nortons, macfee, avg etc used '127.0.0.1' setting, this all needs to be fixed before installing AVG (or any other antivirus for that matter).
