| 317700 | 2005-01-25 00:51:00 | I recently purchased a new system for gaming...ASROCK motherboard, AMD Sempron 2200 processor (1.5ghz) and an ATi Radeon 9550 128mb Video Card. Before playing any games on it, I overclocked the proccesor to 2ghz and it refused to boot up. Then I set it to 1.9ghz and it worked fine. The problem is that now my computer does not seem to run games very well...Half Life 2 tends to be a little choppy, but not to the point where I cant play it. So I put my processor back to its normal 1.5Ghz, and, well, it still has the choppy problem. I was just wondering...could these slow downs be a result of damage through overclocking? |
