| 317642 | 2005-01-24 22:18:00 | Normally CPU speed is referenced. In the case of AMD chips, it is the "comparative speed" to an Intel Pentium as the methodology is different and direct CPU speed has less relevance. |

| 317643 | 2005-01-24 22:30:00 | In the old days before AMD came out with its "comparative speed" to an Intel, I referred to speed as how 'fast' the CPU was -as in Mhz and Ghz. Nowadays, I tend to refer to speed as in seconds :p With different 'grades' of every part on earth, it's becoming harder to just use the CPU. Thus, I think of it as how many seconds it takes to load a programs, etc. |
