317942 2005-01-25 23:50:00 DSO exploit isnt a trojan or dialler or anything. Its a MS fix, and its a bug in that version in Spybot that brings this up. DON'T worry about its entry in Spybot.

Either update Spybot or go into Spybot's prefs / whatever and tick the DSO expolit entry in it so it doesnt appear. Look on the Spybot site under the FAQ's.

317943 2005-01-26 01:36:00 i have downloaded 2 new spyware detection programs and will try them now, they are Spyware Doctor and SpywareBlaster grunta (6843)
317944 2005-01-26 01:53:00 Other programs u use to remove that DSO exploit most probably wont work either. It'll most probably get deleted by come back after reboot.

I wouldnt waste my time, if thats why you got these other antispyware programs. Its a MS patch thats made the entry in Spybot.

And as said earlier, its a bug in Spybot, update Spybot or untick DSO exploit in Spybot.

317946 2005-01-26 08:36:00 Hi Grunta, it would be realy helpful if you told us what version of Windows your running including, patch/service pack/upgrade status and whether you have looked at Dialup Netwoking or Network Connections (depending on which version of Windows you have) and, if so, what you found in there.

Another thought, look in IE Properties, General tab, Files, Downloaded Files (view) and check the properties and dependencies of each file in there.
