The 939 pin configuration of the Gigabyte motherboard will allow for a future processor upgrade if required - there are many 939pin AMD64 models available but only a couple of 754pin. Ok. I will do that. I hope that they change it. I will post when I find out :thumbs: |

Tell them you had a specific list and they supplied gear was not what you asked for. Instant refund, I wouldn't get replacements, Get your money and take it elsewhere. |

I do not always agree with Metla but I definitely do in this case. The two motherboards are different. The CPU is different. Walk to another place and take your money with you. |

I will make them give me what i want tho :D Thanks :thumbs: Say what, yes they blimmin well do, read the Consumer Guarantees and Fair Trading Acts . Crikey, there'd be utter chaos out there if traders could just change the specs any old time they wanted: "Oh! Mrs Brown, I decided to give you . 5Kg of mince instead of 1Kg of fillet steak, but hey it's your lucky day, we're charging the same for it" You could see how Mrs Brown wouldn't be very happy about being stiffed like that, no doubt Mr Brown might have something very choice for the butcher as well . Not to mention that there's approximately $260- diff between the price of the kit you ordered and the one they're giving you, this is not a simple error, these parts could not be mistaken or even considered similar by competent computer parts traders . I agree with Metla and Elephant, they can't be trusted now, return the whole order and get a complete refund, it was a package deal and the package is incomplete, do not attempt do deal with them, . Be firm but polite, don't let them smooth talk or intimidate you, remember as much as possible (take notes of your conversation, in front of them if necessary) . If they give you grief or try to do a deal, or generally wriggle out of their responsibilities (and that includes not charging you a re-stocking fee or whatever they dress it up as), get back here with it and we'll assist as best we can, ok :thumbs: BTW, I find it's better to email your list to a prospective supplier to get a quote and confirmation that the parts are available within a reasonable time period and to confirm your order . It leaves an undeniable paper trail, no doubt you have this anyway, right? |

He didn’t overcharge me, but he also didn’t make me aware of the changes he was making to the kit set even though I clearly stated I wanted those other components. I don’t know if I should go somewhere else because I need to have it built before school starts back because I will have no time thought school year :@@: I will see what happens later today. If they start being stupid about it they can have their stuff back and give me my money!! I will go to Dragon PC if they do give me grief (Avondale branch, they seem nicer there :D) Does that seem reasonable? Also I like your story about the meat :D |
