| 318606 | 2005-01-27 19:53:00 | I have a Dimension 4300 running XP. I have just moved from broadband to dial-up. I have had considerable difficulty in getting it to connect to the ISP. Initially the ISP would note that it was trying to get in but something wasn't happening. Changing a few settings allowed it to connect but now it times out due to no password information being passed across. Is this a problem with the modem, software or ISP. I don't think it is the latter as I was able to get in using another computer using some user name and password. Any suggestions gratefully received. |

Otherwise if I was you I would use your Internet connection wizard again, you might have got a setting wrong when you first set-up ? Hope it helps. | kiwicasperguy (7017) | ||
