2005-01-27 08:17:00 | what sort of disk are you using, if you want to format a disk it will need to be a CDRW | Prescott (11) | |
2005-01-27 08:28:00 | Yes. RW CD. I really need some advice from someone who uses/used this software. It must be an odd one I think. Most are using Nero. This lot came with my Pioneer 107. | Pato (2463) | |
2005-01-27 08:35:00 | what operating system? does it work in any other program? it could be a possible that the disk is stuffed. I dont know the exact details for your program, because i use nero, you could try it using that. are there any error messages?

2005-01-27 08:50:00 | As far as I know Ulead Burn.now is not a "packet writer" type of software that can use a CD-RW in that manner. CD_RW do not natively operate in that way and require special "packet writing" software to accomplish it. Adaptec DirectCD and Nero InCD are examples. Be aware that using CD-RW in that manner is considered by many to be extremely unreliable however, one minute error when updating a file can trash the entire disk. Simply put, if the data is of value don't rely on packet writing as the only backup copy.

2005-01-27 23:28:00 | Prescott & Godfather, Thanks for your comments. I think trying Nero may be my answer as no one seems to use Ulead. Would I be able to leave Ulead on the PC and install Nero6 for a trial or is that likely to cause me problems?. Ulead will let me do everything except use a RW like a floppy and I understand Nero6 will allow this. | Pato (2463) | |

2005-01-28 00:35:00 | Dunno I've never installed it to find out what else it installs. I dont think this program will muck around with drop and drag in Windows Explorer / My computer. I use Nero, CD Creator / Directcd no prob at all. With XP. BUT its not a good idea to use too many things like INCD (part of nero, amd Directcd), they clash with each other.
