318346 2005-01-26 12:49:00 Have win2k as a fileserver and a win xp home and xp pro PC connected. Have mapped a drive on 2k and while the xp pro one connects OK the home one shows disconnected network drive. If I doubleclick and enter user name and password it goes through - (the same username and password as in the Users accounts) have connect at logon checked. Any ideas?
Cheers

If you don't want to enter password all the time try allowing the Guest account network access.

318348 2005-01-26 20:28:00 XP home also has a restriction in this area - the 'password memory' feature is disabled for network shares, so you will have to log in every time you boot the XP home machine.

Excellent idea, but not very secure - plus I think you still have to log in as guest (although I've never tried this, so it might work)
