| 318442 | 2005-01-26 22:19:00 | I know Ive asked this question before but seeing we have different readers all the time Ill try again. Where can I purchase a hardware/firmware/software package that will allow me to turn on lights/appliances by clicking an icon on my computer desktop? I guess it would connect to a USB port and whilst it would be nice to be able to switch 10 amps that is not critical. The number of switchable outlets is not critical either but five or six would be nice. I would have thought such an animal would be in abundance but so far no luck. :( Anyone out there in the computerised house business? :) TIA Bob |

Yes, it would be... but you wouldn't be able to control it from your desktop, which is what it sounds like he wants to do. And oh... re: PMB. I spent 5 minutes on that site earlier today and my eyeballs were burning. |
