319032 2005-01-29 02:43:00 Hello,

I have been sent a file via email which has the CDR(CorelDraw) format and which I can't open. I do not have coreldraw. Is there a way for me to open the file without having to purchase coreldraw?

Thankyou,
Michael

319034 2005-01-29 03:26:00 Hi Michael8. I haven't been to the Corel site recently, but you used to be able to download a 30 day trial from Corel.com. A lot of the programme was deleted for the trial period, but should be enough to help you. Scouse (83)

319038 2005-01-29 10:54:00 MS Photodraw will open *.CDR files. The program comes with MS office Pro. Irfanview will open them too, but in preview mode only.

Cheers

P.S. Entering "corel draw file viewer" in Google brings up some more options. Lightbox 3.0 looks promising.

319039 2005-01-29 23:38:00 Do you have Microsoft Word? My version (2002) can insert .cdr files into documents so you may be able to open your files with that. FoxyMX (5)

Assuming that you have saved the file to your hard drive, open Word, go to Insert>Picture>From file and navigate to where you saved your .cdr file.

You may need to click on the drop-down box in the Insert Picture dialogue box to find the "CorelDraw (*.cdr)" option before you can see your file.
