319049 2005-01-29 02:39:00 Can anyone help.

I have a problem with dial-up netorking. I use this to connect to the internet as usual but after 30 secs or so this connection is dropped and a phantom 'new conection' is made and it tries to dial out. I look at the properties of this phantom connection and the phone number to dial is only 0. It tries 10 time to connect then stops.

I guess i have a virus or something similar, can anyone help me rid this problem

Thanks

319056 2005-01-30 03:04:00 Apologies for getting shirty but this problem is becoming annoying.
OK have ran Spybot and updated my anti-virus and ran that, and Nothing, Nada, Zilch........

When I use the hayes command ATDT then a telephone number in Hyperterminal I can hear the modem pick up dial tone and dial out fine so it looks like a problem with 'dial-up networking'. I've deleted the connection and rebuilt it and still the same. Modem properties are fine (speaker on full), modem's working OK.........I don't understand..........

Anymore help would be gratefully received......
