319302 2005-01-30 02:07:00 Hi all
I am trying to download some stuff and I keep getting this error.

The connection with the server was reset

I can download smaller items, up to 2MB but anything over 4MB and I get the above message.
What settings can I change to avoid this problem?
I have downloaded many larger things in the past with no problems so I dont know why it is happening now.
Any help much appreciated.

319303 2005-01-30 02:11:00 What server is this ?? On the net when you download files u mean?? if so, u cant do anything at your end. Whoever deals with the site will have to fix the problem.

Or get a download manager like getright, or similar so u can resume the download.

319304 2005-01-30 02:14:00 yes when I am online downloading files.
My ISP is Paradise.

The reason I stopped using download managers was the spyware, is "get right" free of spyware??
Thanks

319305 2005-01-30 02:16:00 Yup but Getright isnt free, so might run out after so long.

Try http://www.freshdevices.com/ and download Fresh download, I think its free and spyware free.

319308 2005-01-30 04:08:00 Thank you :)
I downloaded FreshDownload and it worked !
I haven't used a download manager for quite some time as the last one I had (a few years back) just loaded up a heap of spyware.

Thanks for the help.
