319556 2005-01-31 00:04:00 I have borrowed a music cd and would like to put the contents on to my comp. as mp3,s to join my music collection. I tried dragging them across but the the comp. diid not like it. They show as cda,s, I think I need to convert them to mp3,s but how? gradebdan (2186)
319557 2005-01-31 00:16:00 You need to use a media player like windows media player or any other and rip the CD to mp3s ad_267 (6193)
319558 2005-01-31 00:18:00 It depends on what media player you have but most will let you rip CDs to mp3. In Windows Media Player 10 you just click on the rip tab and select the tracks you want. ad_267 (6193)

Or Windows media player if u use / have it.

319561 2005-01-31 02:37:00 NINJA... I d/l from that site the Codex1.51 then when I tried to use it on my comp. I got the "Blue screen of death" I deleted it and because I since found codex 1.51 on a netguide disc I installed it from the disc, exactly the same thing happened "Blu. scr.of dea."...I am not rapt with Win media player so would rather not use it, incidently my ver. of W.M.PLAYER is 7...now lost . gradebdan (2186)
319562 2005-01-31 02:41:00 Try http://www.download.com

type in mp3 ripper under search. The only thing is most are shareware and maybe limited in what they can do.

319565 2005-01-31 05:14:00 The best software to do this IMHO is Easy CD-DA Extractor from Poikosoft.
Converts CDs to various formats including MP3.

Get it from http://www.poikosoft.com/
