| 319496 | 2005-01-30 22:10:00 | Hi, I'm a newb in anything hardware, I'm real big into vector and 3d graphics and do all of my work on a brand new laptop. Recently my friends were making a mod to a game called Half-Life 2, I did lots of tile work on it. I have a gaming pc that is very basic, It's a Pentium III 933 Mhz, Compaq Presario with Windows ME. It's safe to say it was a gift. My question is I ordered a new graphics card for it that requires a PCI slot. I have 4 PCI slots, 1 has an ethernet card, 1 has a modem, and 2 are empty. The computer has some type of nonremovable intergrated graphics card. My card has not yet came in, but I'm not sure how it will fit, any suggestions? The card is a nVidia GeForce 4000. The picture of it shows it to be 10 cm wide and 20 cm long. Thanks alot, Mike | Sp0000k (7048) | ||

I'm pretty sure you'll be safe with the card you have ordered though. I will be very surprised if you can get HL2 to run on your machine even with the new video card. Mike. |
