| 319374 | 2005-01-30 05:37:00 | I have some questions about my PC that I am building. I have succsefully installed the motherboard, and all the components. I have got the floppy and the CD ROM drives in. The only problem is that the case has only two spaces for the floppy and the HDD. I have been told that you need to keep alot of distance between the HDD and anything else as it can get really hot. What can I do? Also I have front USB, microphone and speakers. For that I have alot of one pin connectors to put on the motherboard. One set is for USB 1.1 and another is USB 2.0. I will use the USB 2.0 set. It has on it, USB 2.0, GND and VCC on them. Where shall I put them? There is a L Speaker and a R speaker, Mic Data and Mic GND. I also dont know where to put them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :badpc: |

It'll be too wide unless u get a bracket for it to fit in a 5 1/4 bay like where a cd/dvd goes. The USB cable coming from the front of the case are red, white, green, black, and black on the wire that has 5 wires on it. Forget one of these black wires... on the cable with 5 wires.. it does nothing. The other wires (4 wires are the same red, white, green, black). Put them in this order on the 4 and 5 pin pin connection on the motherboard. One under the other. Also, if u have XP u need to install SP1 for USB 2 to work properly. And also the ide inf drivers from the motherboard cd. I know nothing about the mic connection. This case doesnt have a connection for a mic or speakers on the front. |

| 319381 | 2005-01-30 06:13:00 | Well if its the only hdd u have you have no choice. You have to, to install windows on it. Put it in a spare slot if theres one in the case. NOT where the floppy goes, it wont fit there most probably. |

| 319382 | 2005-01-30 06:27:00 | You have a case with one HHD bay! What brand and model is it? If htere's only one bay, put it in there, don't worry about heat at this stage (I have 3 HDD's, floppy and DVD with no special cooling and no heat issues). There should also be an instruction booklet or sheet for the case USB and SPIDF connections which you'll have to match up with the motherboards pins a la the manual. |
