| 319397 | 2005-01-30 08:48:00 | Upon booting up, a red screen appears saying "NAV AUTO PROTECT Unable to read configuration files." Then I press "Enter" which activates the "OK" on the screen. It then proceeds to go to the Win98 Setup screen :horrified like it wants me to reinstall the OS. I go through the motions and when I enter in the serial# it comes up invalid :groan: I then press "OK" and "Cancel" and then it just shuts down the computer. All I did previous to this was uninstall something called "Sidebar" and rebooted. What could be wrong? Please don't tell me I have to reformat my whole drive :( |

| 319399 | 2005-01-30 10:29:00 | None of those situations really applies to me because I can't even get into windows to do some of those operations. Even Safe mode comes up with an error saying "explorer has performed an illegal action....blah blah blah". and nothing loads. :( |
