| 320394 | 2005-02-01 07:04:00 | I partitioned my hard drive when I was installing Windows XP. I halved it, so there was half on each partition. I said that it was formating the partition. I dont think it partitiond the other half.. Is that what happend, and how do I get the rest of my hard drive back? :badpc: Mike |

| 320395 | 2005-02-01 07:08:00 | If this is XP, go to control panel / admin tools / computer management / disk management... See if the other partition shows there. If u see an unallocated entry here, (with the amount of the other 1/2 of the hard drive), highlight it and format it. Or select change drive letter and path. Or both. |

Then beside that I have the unallocated space. If I right click on it I can click 'New Partition', 'Properties' and 'Help' It has Disk 0, then the formated one, then beside it the unformated one. Below that is the CD ROM Drive. |

Mike, you have to create another partition with that free space before you can format it. So, right click on the unallocated space, choose "New Partition" and away you go. :) |
