320217 2005-02-01 06:34:00 Hi pple,
Ive had an ongoing cdrom problem, well its not the actual cdrom drive, what happens is when i read a cd, when its loading data from it my mouse goes all jumpy and if I'm connected to the internet (dialup) i get disconnected. i know its not the cdrom drive itself because i have tested two different ones. is this something to do with IRQ sharing or anything like that? how do i fix it?
any help appreciated, thanks.

320218 2005-02-01 06:40:00 Go to control panel device manager. See if anything has an X or similar besides it. What version of windows are you using? Speedy Gonzales (78)

320222 2005-02-01 06:58:00 It sounds like a conflict tho if u disconnect when using the cd..

320224 2005-02-01 07:05:00 Hmm you could try replacing the ide connection on the cd. Since nothing in device manager shows any X's, or ? or anything else.

In device manager, click on the modem and the mouse. Does it say theyre working properly??

Or does either show an error or something else?? when u click on their entry in device manager?
