319901 2005-01-31 23:24:00 Got Excel? Knock it up in there with the graph wizard. Copy, Paste. ninja (1671)
319902 2005-01-31 23:36:00 Don't know if your version has got it or not (mine is not installed for me to look at the mo) but have a look under Insert>Picture>Chart.

If it has got that, look in Help to learn how to drive it because I'm a bit rusty. :p

319903 2005-01-31 23:56:00 Hi Beetle, Insert|Object|Create New tab|Microsoft Excel Chart. Sheet1 contains the source data for the chart and you will see a chart menu option appear in the toolbar. Post again if you have any problems. Parry (5696)

319905 2005-02-01 02:07:00 Hi Beetle, you can either do this in Excel itself or within Word - whatever you want . if you do it in Word like I described above a pre-made chart is created . Charts work by looking at a list of values and then making a visual representaion of those values . Change the numbers in the source and the chart changes on the fly .

Ok, so you want a pie chart so youll need to enter values as percentages as the pie should total 100% . Ill show you how to do it in Word directly . insert the chart as I mentioned above then seelct sheet1 (a little tab) and wipe out the data in Sheet1 (select cells with your mouse then press the delete key) .

Enter this example data in its place where the cell reference is where your entering in the text or percentage .
A1 = Name
A2 = Beetle
A3 = FoxyMX
A4 = Ninja
A5 = Parry
B1 = Percentage
B2 = 40%
B3 = 20%
B4 = 30%
B5 = 10%

Ok, you have the data but the chart is a column chart . Click on the Chart tab then select Chart|Chart Type from the Word menu and choose pie chart from the option and go OK .
