| 319797 | 2005-01-31 19:57:00 | I've just loaded win98se onto a friend's PC - it's going extremely well and super fast - without all the virus scanners and security programs we need these days. Anyway, I've tried to load some of my regular applications like Toniarts Easycleaner, etc and when I go to execute the programs I'm getting - NOT A VALID WIN32 APPLICATION ! What does this cryptic message mean and how do I fix it? |

| 319798 | 2005-01-31 20:05:00 | Whatever you're trying to install, maybe corrupted, or wherever u got it from. If from a site, download it again. Or you're trying to open / run something, it may need a program that isn't installed. |

If downloaded from the net, then the full app hasn't downloaded peoperly Also some of the programs may need the latest VB6 Runtime files to install. I can't remember whether it was Easycleaner or CrapCleaner that I had to install the VB6 files for before it would install. |

| 319802 | 2005-02-01 23:24:00 | ;) Some of the programs must have been corrupted because when I tried again with other versions I'd saved to CD all went well. Thanks for your help. On another quest now ...... Can you tell me how to find all the motherboard details on a PC - I need to load the drivers for the MB - I've just loaded win98se? The only thing I can see printed on the MB is '1st Mainboard' - and this also comes up as the initial screen before bootup..... Where can I find more details / model numbers etc...???? |
